Basque Language Publishers Association

The Basque Language Publishers Association, founded in 1984, aims to group together all publishing houses that publish works written in Basque. The association's main aim is to promote and protect the publication of works in the Basque language, and to represent, coordinate and protect its members.

Conditions for joining

Full members:

  • publishers, either individuals or legal entities, in whose catalogue works written in Basque account for at least 25%,
  • or who have been publishing books in Basque for 10 years or from the start of their activities, and who have published a minimum of 15 works over the last 3 years,
  • or who publish at least 25% of their works in the Basque language.

Associate members: Publishers that have published more than one work in the Basque language.
